Dust alert issued for Dubai as winds pick up, with rain and fog forecast overnight

Dust warning for Dubai

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a dust warning for Dubai, forecasting wind gusts of up to 45 kilometres per hour that could lift dust across open and desert areas.

Rain and fog expected overnight

The same outlook calls for rain and fog to develop during the night, prompting the NCM to advise residents and visitors to keep windows and doors shut.

Afternoon showers in other emirates

In addition, the NCM expects afternoon showers in Ras Al Khaimah, Khor Fakkan and Al Ain.

Safety advice from the NCM

The authority urges caution in dusty conditions by limiting exposure, keeping airways covered, and ensuring windows and doors are closed to strong gusts. A file photo used for illustrative purposes only accompanies the report.
