How our news is produced
Our newsroom works from public official sources, such as government statements and published circulars, and from reports by established news outlets. Editors select the stories that matter to readers in Abu Dhabi, then rewrite and summarize them with the help of automated tools, under editorial standards the newsroom sets and applies.
Where a story affects what residents need to do, such as a new fee, a deadline or a rule change, we add a short explainer box setting out the key facts.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it. We check the reported error against the original source, fix the story and, where the change is material, note what was corrected. Errors that could affect a reader’s money, documents or legal position are handled first.
Independence
Abu Dhabi Voice is independent. We are not a government body and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any authority. We do not sell placement in our news coverage, and no company or organization can pay to be reported on. Our reporting is general news, not legal, immigration or financial advice; confirm anything with consequences with the relevant official authority.
