Boom app founders: two Emirati friends with two jobs and two awards
By Emad El-Din Khalil
Two Emirati friends, Mariam Al Marri and Mariam Al Nuaimi, have built a delivery app called Boom that has won two awards and received funding from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. The pair run the app alongside two full-time jobs.
A delivery app born from experience
Boom was created to address a real gap in flexible delivery for small businesses and home merchants. The platform connects business owners with nearby delivery drivers.
The founders said the decision to launch Boom came from real experiences they had lived through.
Awards and funding
Boom has won two awards, including App of the Year 2025. It also received funding from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.
