Diplomats and Business Leaders Gather in Dubai for ‘Proud of UAE’ Forum
Forum Overview
Business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and diplomats from more than 30 countries came together in Dubai for the ‘Proud of UAE’ Business Forum, an event organised by the Diplomat Business Club.
UAE’s Appeal and Multicultural Fabric
The forum highlighted the UAE’s growing reputation as a global hub for investment, innovation and entrepreneurship, celebrating the nation’s economic progress, multicultural society and business‑friendly environment.
It served as a platform for international business leaders to explore new partnerships and investment opportunities, bringing together senior professionals and diplomatic representatives from Europe, Asia, Africa and other regions, underscoring the UAE’s role as a meeting point for worldwide business and investment.
Leadership Insights
Javed Malik, President of the Diplomatic Business Club, addressed the gathering, noting that the UAE’s achievements go beyond economic growth to its ability to unite people from nearly 200 nationalities who live, work and build businesses in the country.
He said millions of expatriates view the UAE as more than a place for employment or investment, describing it as a country they proudly call home.
This sense of belonging, Malik explained, inspired the ‘Proud of UAE’ initiative, which has become a central theme of the Diplomat Business Club’s international networking forums.
The forum also pointed out how the UAE’s emphasis on innovation, technology and entrepreneurship creates opportunities for investors and businesses in emerging sectors.
Malik added that the UAE’s forward‑looking policies, together with business accelerators and government‑backed programmes, help entrepreneurs turn innovative ideas into commercially successful ventures.
He stated: “In the UAE, innovation is encouraged and entrepreneurship is given the support to grow. This sends a powerful message that the UAE are embracing the future and actively helping to shape it.”
Diplomatic Participation and Future Goals
During the event, the Diplomat Business Club welcomed newly appointed Consuls General from Germany, Malaysia, Japan, Azerbaijan, Thailand and Kenya.
The gathering offered diplomats and business representatives a chance to strengthen professional relationships and explore potential areas of cooperation.
As the Diplomat Business Club approaches its 150th business forum in the UAE, Malik said the organisation continues to promote what he calls business diplomacy, linking diplomatic networks with commercial expertise to facilitate business connections.
Drawing on his dual experience as a diplomat and a businessman, he said the club aims to help investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders navigate challenges, expand their professional networks and identify growth opportunities, noting that such forums enable participants to engage with decision‑makers, establish new relationships and strengthen international business ties.
