The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has widened its community awareness programmes aimed at reinforcing family ties and fostering better communication among relatives as part of the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026.

ADJD broadens family support initiatives during Year of the Family 2026

The department announced on Monday that it had carried out a series of events, workshops and educational sessions across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, focusing on family stability and the value of maintaining strong relationships at home.

Radio programme and workplace workshops

Over the first nine months of 2026, ADJD aired 27 episodes of its weekly Happy Home programme on Abu Dhabi Holy Qur’an Radio. The show addressed a range of family-related subjects, offering guidance on improving relationships, encouraging constructive behaviour and strengthening communication between family members.

The department also arranged seven interactive workshops for staff members of national companies. These sessions highlighted the significance of family stability and how a positive home environment can help employees perform better in their professional lives.

Community councils and mall events

Under its Majalisna (Our Councils) initiative, ADJD held seven awareness lectures in various councils across Abu Dhabi. The gatherings encouraged families to embrace positive behaviours, maintain healthy relationships and deepen their ties with the wider community. The department noted that the lectures gave residents a platform to discuss family-related issues and learn how to sustain a stable home environment.

To mark the International Day of Families, ADJD organised five days of activities in shopping malls in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. These included interactive games, educational exercises, discussions and family consultations. The events were designed to motivate parents and children to spend time together while understanding the importance of communication and mutual understanding.

Festival participation and future plans

The department also took part in the Sheikh Zayed Festival, where it offered family counselling services and advice to visitors. The initiative aimed to help families tackle challenges and recognise the importance of maintaining positive relationships.

ADJD said it would continue using various communication channels and community programmes to reach more families across the emirate. The activities are part of its broader efforts to promote family values, encourage dialogue and support family stability throughout the Year of the Family 2026.
