Event Overview and Timing
The Dubai Miracle Garden, recognised as the world’s largest natural flower garden, will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and Run on Saturday, 17 October. Gates will open at 6 am, before the usual visiting hours, and the walk/run will commence at 6:30 am. The initiative is organised in support of Pink October and to raise awareness of the value of early detection.
How to Take Part
The event carries the slogan ‘Run for Hope, Run for Life, Run in Bloom’ and welcomes participants of any age or ability. Individuals may select a 1‑kilometre walk, a 2‑kilometre walk or a 3‑kilometre run, moving through the garden’s floral displays that host several Guinness World Records.
Official Remarks and Health Information
Eng. Mohammed Zaher Hammadih, Group CEO of Miracle Group, said, “Pink October is a reminder that early detection saves lives. By opening the garden early, we are giving families, friends and colleagues the chance to walk or run together for someone they care about. It is a meaningful way to mark our 15th season, which is dedicated to the community.”
Each October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month promotes regular screening and timely medical advice. The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention notes that early diagnosis improves the likelihood of recovery in 95 % of cases.
