Three years of trying

Brijaesh Madambi Bhaskaran, originally from Kerala, India, first learned about the Big Ticket promotion through social media about three years ago. He continued participating regularly, hoping for a win. Bhaskaran lives in Ajman while his family remains in India.

For his latest entry, he joined a group of six friends. Their ticket was selected entirely at random, making the win an unexpected surprise.

Shared joy

“I was so happy when I found out that we had won. I honestly couldn’t believe it at first, especially since we had selected the ticket randomly. It was such a wonderful surprise for all of us,” Bhaskaran said.

The prize will be divided among the six friends. Bhaskaran has not yet decided how he will use his share, but the group plans to participate again. “We’ll definitely take part again as a group and hopefully have another reason to celebrate in the future,” he added.

Other winners

The October e-draw also produced three other winners, each receiving a 200-gram, 24-karat gold bar. Manikanta Adabala, 33, a service engineer from Andhra Pradesh, India, has lived in Dubai with his family for four years. Aloha Abelgas, an assistant manager from the Philippines, and Jonathan Javed, originally from Pakistan, who has been living in Abu Dhabi for nearly 10 years, were also among the winners.

Big Ticket’s October promotion additionally features a Dh25 million grand prize. The winner of that prize is set to be announced during a live draw on November 3.
