Rain, Fog, and Strong Winds Forecast Across UAE Through Next Week

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather outlook covering the period from Saturday through to Wednesday, with convective clouds expected to bring rainfall to northern and eastern parts of the country. Strong winds may also stir up dust in some areas, while humidity could lead to fog or mist during nights and early mornings.

Rain, Fog, and Strong Winds Forecast Across UAE Through Next Week

Saturday and Sunday: Rain Chances and Temperature Drops

On Saturday, October 24, conditions will be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds developing over eastern and western regions during the afternoon. This could bring rain and a decrease in temperatures. Humidity is forecast to rise overnight and into Sunday morning, especially along some coastal and inland areas, raising the possibility of fog or mist.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate, becoming fresh to strong when clouds form, and may blow dust. Speeds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, with gusts reaching 35 km/h on the coast, 40 km/h inland, and 45 km/h in mountainous areas. Temperatures on Saturday will hit 33°C to 37°C along the coast and islands, 35°C to 39°C inland, and 26°C to 32°C in the mountains. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Sunday, October 25, will see fair to partly cloudy skies, with convective clouds forming over northern and eastern areas, bringing a chance of rain. Humidity will increase overnight and into Monday morning, with possible fog or mist in some coastal and inland zones. Southeasterly winds will shift to northwesterly, reaching 40 km/h at times. Sea conditions remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Monday and Tuesday: Stronger Winds and Persistent Rain

Monday, October 26, is expected to bring similar conditions, with possible rainfall from convective clouds over northern and eastern areas. Winds will become fresh to strong at times, reaching 50 km/h and potentially causing blowing dust. Overnight humidity will again create a chance of fog or mist on Tuesday morning. The sea will stay slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Tuesday, October 27, will maintain the chance of rain in northern and eastern areas, with fair to partly cloudy conditions elsewhere. Winds may reach 50 km/h at times, particularly near convective clouds, carrying a risk of blowing dust. Humidity will increase overnight, with fog or mist possible in some coastal and inland areas by Wednesday morning. Seas will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Wednesday: Continued Rain and Dust Risks

Wednesday, October 28, could see convective clouds continuing to develop over northern and eastern areas, bringing further rain chances. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching 50 km/h at times and potentially stirring up dust. Humid conditions are expected overnight and into Thursday morning, particularly over western coastal and inland areas, where fog or mist may form. Seas will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The forecast weather pattern is associated with an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a weak upper-air low-pressure system.
