Shah Rukh Khan to bring UNIFYD music festival to Abu Dhabi with Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla and Sonu Nigam in March 2027
Festival overview
The festival marks the debut of UNIFYD in Abu Dhabi, presenting a huge one‑day music and culture event across multiple stages at Etihad Live on Yas Island. Attendees can expect the same vibes as any large‑scale production, with an experience rooted in Indian music and culture. Shah Rukh Khan founded UNIFYD on the simple belief that India’s artists belong on the world’s biggest stages, and he has been gaining fans ever since starting his acting career 38 years ago. He will be present at the event as the festival’s curator.
Artist lineup
The bill features three of India’s biggest musical voices: Arijit Singh, a two‑time National Film Award winner known for the cross‑border track Sapphire with Ed Sheeran – who described Singh’s voice as “proper spellbound” and called him “one of the most talented humans” he has met – and for the collaboration Angels For Each Other with Martin Garrix; global Punjabi music phenomenon Karan Aujla, whose hits include Tauba Tauba and For A Reason; and legendary singer Sonu Nigam, who performed in Abu Dhabi in August and will return to showcase vocals such as Kal Ho Naa Ho, Bole Chudiyan and Shukran Allah. In addition, around fifteen further artists are slated to appear on the various stages.
Statements from organisers
Shah Rukh Khan, the festival’s curator, said: “I’ve spent a lifetime telling stories on screen and watching them bring people together. Music has that same extraordinary power. UNIFYD, produced by D’YAVOL Live along with District, will unite India’s most incredible artists on a shared stage for the first time. The festival promises to be a true spectacle in terms of its scale, energy, and grandeur.” Bunty Singh, co‑founder of D’YAVOL Live, added: “Indian music is already global. UNIFYD gives that cultural force a festival platform that matches its scale, ambition and influence. Bringing together artists of this stature on the same day, in a lineup that has never existed before, is what makes the first edition so special. The production, setting and overall experience have been built to match the scale of that moment.”
Future plans and updates
Organisers intend to take UNIFYD beyond Abu Dhabi, aiming to expand the festival to new cities worldwide. Further details will be released in the coming weeks, and updates will be provided as they become available.
