Dubai Police introduces hybrid Lamborghini Temerario to luxury patrol fleet
New hybrid supercar joins Dubai Police fleet
Dubai Police has incorporated the Lamborghini Temerario, a hybrid supercar that reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 2.7 seconds, into its renowned luxury patrol fleet.
The Temerario entered service through a collaboration with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, pairing advanced automotive tech with the police’s unique tourist‑focused policing style to increase visibility throughout the emirate.
Its bold styling, sophisticated engineering and powerful hybrid drivetrain mean the Temerario now sits alongside a patrol lineup that is widely recognised across Dubai, underscoring the emirate’s standing for innovation, safety and premium tourism.
Leadership highlights community and tourism benefits
Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, who heads the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, noted that the new vehicle underscores the force’s aim to boost its security footprint while fostering nearer ties with the community.
“Our luxury patrol fleet represents an innovative approach to policing, combining an effective security presence with community and tourist engagement. These vehicles help people feel safe, showcase Dubai’s positive image to visitors from around the world, and raise awareness of police services and public safety. Above all, they reinforce our commitment to being a police force that is close to the community,” he said.
He further remarked that the luxury patrol cars have turned into a hallmark of the emirate, embodying its contemporary identity, top‑tier safety record and leading role in various sectors.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, who leads the Tourist Police Department at Dubai Police, stressed the value of fielding advanced vehicles and deepening ties with private‑sector partners.
“At Dubai Police, we are committed to keeping pace with global developments and adopting initiatives that reflect Dubai’s leadership and unique character. The addition of the Lamborghini Temerario demonstrates our continued efforts to develop our luxury patrol fleet and strengthen strategic partnerships with the private sector, contributing to a better quality of life, community happiness and an exceptional experience for Dubai’s visitors,” he said.
He pointed out that these patrol cars are deployed in busy tourist spots and high‑traffic zones, giving locals and guests a chance to engage with officers and discover more about Dubai Police’s offerings.
He added that such efforts show how the force blends innovation and operational excellence with policing that is open and community‑oriented.
Technical details and partnership
Martino Picotti, the General Manager for Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, welcomed the newest joint effort.
“Our ongoing partnership with Dubai Police reflects the strong relationship between Lamborghini and the United Arab Emirates. The addition of the Temerario marks an exciting new chapter in this collaboration, bringing together Lamborghini’s passion for innovation and excellence in super sports cars with Dubai Police’s commitment to developing its services and strengthening its role in serving the community,” he said.
The Temerario’s powertrain is a high‑performance electrified vehicle (HPEV) setup that mates a brand‑new 4.0‑litre twin‑turbo V8 with three electric motors.
The combined output reaches 920 horsepower, allowing the car to sprint from zero to 100 km/h in only 2.7 seconds.
By blending top‑tier performance, cutting‑edge hybrid tech and meticulous engineering, the Temerario stands out as a striking addition to Dubai Police’s luxury patrol lineup.
