Dubai Media Incorporated announced at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes that it has secured a distribution agreement granting its channels access to roughly 450,000 hotel rooms across 12,000 hotels worldwide. MIPCOM is recognised as a leading international platform for the media and entertainment content industry.
Global hotel distribution agreement
The agreement was made with an international distributor that focuses on delivering television channels through worldwide hotel networks. Under the terms, Dubai Media Incorporated will be able to broadcast its channels in about 450,000 rooms located in 12,000 hotels across the globe. The company described the arrangement as a strategic move to strengthen the international footprint of its programming, reach varied traveller audiences, and promote Emirati media content while showcasing Dubai’s media and cultural identity. It also noted that the pact supports the emirate’s economic, tourism and cultural standing. Additionally, the deal opens fresh avenues for expanding the corporation’s global distribution system, broadening the ways content reaches viewers, and exploiting novel access channels that bolster its presence in international markets.
Artificial intelligence focus
Alongside the distribution agreement, Dubai Media Incorporated used part of its MIPCOM 2026 presence to examine the newest artificial intelligence tools and how they can be applied to media content production. This activity formed part of its strategy to stay abreast of fast‑moving technological change in the sector, refine its internal workflow, and boost competitiveness while reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a global hub for media and creative industries.
During the exhibition, the delegation held meetings with a range of global technology firms and examined the latest AI‑driven solutions designed specifically for the media content industry. Technical presentations illustrated how these tools can be used at different stages of production, including idea generation, content creation, visual production, editing and post‑production, machine translation and dubbing, media asset management, and repurposing or adapting material for television and digital platforms. The discussions centred on the potential of such technologies to cut down time and labour, raise the efficiency of production processes, and strengthen the abilities of creative teams, while safeguarding the quality, authenticity and media identity of the output. The organisation said it will study applicable technical solutions for integration into its own workflow, aiming to build a more adaptable and efficient production environment and to keep step with shifting audience habits and content consumption patterns.
