Dubai Stand-Up Paddle Returns to Hatta Dam for Two-Day Fitness Event in November 2026
Event Overview
Dubai Stand-Up Paddle, presented by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is set to return to Hatta Dam on 7 and 8 November 2026 for two days of fitness and adventure.
Activities and Features
The event welcomes paddlers of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced boarders, against the backdrop of Hatta’s mountains and waters.
Building on a record turnout of more than 5,000 participants in 2025, when the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) flagship event first expanded to two days, this year’s edition continues to attract a growing audience.
Participation has increased more than fivefold since the inaugural event in 2023, reflecting the rising popularity of the DFC programme.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can join guided SUP sessions lasting 45 minutes to work toward their 30×30 target.
Adaptive water activities will be available for People of Determination, supported by specially trained teams.
All participants receive boards, paddles and life jackets, and a safety briefing before going on the water.
Adults seeking an extra challenge can take part in the SUP Fun Challenge, which follows an approximately 500-metre buoy-marked course during a 30-minute session testing technique, balance and stamina.
Registered Dubai SUP participants also receive a complimentary kayaking experience; single kayaks are open to those aged 17 and above, while younger participants may share a double kayak with an adult, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the venue.
New for 2026, a 30-minute morning SUP Yoga session will be offered alongside the afternoon sessions from the previous year, led by experienced instructors who combine movement, balance and relaxation on the water.
To ease travel, a complimentary return shuttle service will operate from Dubai to Hatta Dam for the event weekend.
