UAE Weather: Rain, Fog and Dust Expected as Temperatures Reach 38°C
Rain could fall in parts of the United Arab Emirates on Monday, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasting a mix of fair to partly cloudy conditions and the development of convective clouds over eastern and southern areas during the afternoon. Humidity is expected to climb to 90 per cent in some coastal and inland locations, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist forming late on Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
Temperature and Humidity Forecast
Despite the arrival of November, daytime temperatures will remain relatively high. Inland areas can expect maximums between 35°C and 38°C, while coastal regions and islands will see 33°C to 37°C. Mountain areas will be cooler, with temperatures ranging from 26°C to 32°C. Humidity levels may reach 90 per cent, raising the chance of reduced visibility due to fog or mist.
Wind and Sea Conditions
Winds are predicted to be light to moderate, occasionally strengthening as cloud activity increases and causing blowing dust. Speeds will generally range from 10 to 25 km/h, but could gust up to 40 km/h in inland and mountainous areas and up to 35 km/h along the coast. The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain slight.
Outlook for the Week
Looking ahead, the NCM forecasts generally fair to partly cloudy weather on Tuesday, with continued humidity and a chance of fog or mist overnight and on Wednesday morning. Low clouds are expected over eastern and northern areas on Wednesday and Thursday, while mist may develop in some coastal areas during early morning hours. Rain chances are forecast to return on Friday, when convective clouds could develop over eastern parts of the country during the afternoon. Winds could strengthen to 40 km/h on Friday, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman throughout the forecast period.
