Dubai Police Steps Up Agentic AI Plans as UAE Targets 50% Government Automation

Dubai Police are intensifying efforts to embed artificial intelligence across policing and administrative operations, with a special emphasis on Agentic AI, aligning with the UAE’s goal of converting half of government sectors, services and functions to autonomous AI technologies within a two-year timeframe.

Dubai Police Steps Up Agentic AI Plans as UAE Targets 50% Government Automation

Plans Reviewed at Transformation Council

The proposals were examined during a session of the Dubai Police Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Council, chaired by Major General Dr Ahmad Zaal bin Krishan Almuhairi, Deputy Commander in Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs.

Almuhairi stressed that successful deployment of cutting-edge technology must yield concrete enhancements in operational efficiency, decision-making, service quality and customer experience.

He said Dubai Police are dedicated to accelerating digital transformation and widening AI deployment in both policing and administrative roles, making certain that technological advances result in actionable solutions and tangible outcomes.

Advancing Autonomous AI Systems

The council explored strategies to broaden the application of Agentic AI, which allows intelligent systems to carry out tasks and manage processes with greater independence.

The conversations took place against the backdrop of the UAE government’s directive to transform 50% of its sectors, services and operations within two years using autonomous AI model-based technologies.

Council members analysed how these capabilities could facilitate procedure automation, boost operational performance and contribute to more streamlined government services.

The session assessed progress on implementing resolutions and suggestions from earlier meetings, along with project priorities, work plans and the duties of individual workstream leaders.

Members also examined the AI-driven digital transformation roadmap, which leverages advanced analytics and new technologies to simplify procedures, expedite transactions and enhance the delivery of operational and field services.

The council discussed government initiatives to create shared digital service channels, enabling public services to be provided through interconnected platforms.

This method aims to improve coordination among government entities while making services more convenient and faster for customers to use.

Focus on Business Continuity and Measurable Results

A further central topic was business continuity and the preparedness of systems and processes to sustain essential services under various operating conditions.

Council members reviewed scenarios intended to strengthen institutional resilience and guarantee the uninterrupted functioning of key policing and administrative roles.

Almuhairi underscored that effective digital transformation demands close collaboration between departments and a collective commitment to implementing smart solutions.

He highlighted the need to automate processes, simplify the customer journey and enhance the precision of data analysis to aid better decisions and future readiness.

He also reaffirmed the council’s function in coordinating initiatives, overseeing project execution and steering advanced technologies toward the organisation’s operational and administrative priorities.

He concluded that these initiatives correspond with the Dubai government’s vision for integrated, proactive digital services and reinforce Dubai Police’s leadership in security innovation.
