Etihad Rail urges safety as UAE passenger rail network expands awareness campaign

Awareness video highlights shared responsibility

A public awareness video forms the centrepiece of the campaign, urging travellers to adopt straightforward safety measures and to be considerate of fellow passengers. The goal, the company says, is to make every journey both safer and more comfortable as rail travel becomes a regular part of life in the UAE.

Etihad Rail stressed that individual choices can have a direct impact on passenger protection and overall rail security. The company will continue its outreach through school-based initiatives, community events, and collaboration with government agencies and other organisations.

Executive: Safety culture must start early

Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial and Support at Etihad Rail Mobility, said safety remains the top priority as the network enters a new operational phase. “With passenger rail becoming part of everyday life in the UAE, it is more important than ever to build a strong culture of safety from the start,” she said.

Almansoori emphasised that keeping the railway safe is not solely the operator’s responsibility. Passengers and communities must also contribute by making responsible decisions and adhering to safety guidelines.

Partnerships to drive safety message

Etihad Rail confirmed it will work alongside government agencies, educational institutions, and local community groups to spread awareness about rail safety. The campaign aims to embed safe behaviour among all users of the rail network.
