Sheikh Hamdan Attends Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum to Outline Dubai’s Future Vision

Overview

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, attended the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The forum, described as the premier annual gathering dedicated to management and leadership, brought together over 1,000 senior government and private sector figures from Dubai.

Key Remarks

During the event, Sheikh Hamdan said, “Dubai operates as one team with a shared spirit, driven by a shared purpose: to create the world’s best human experience.” He also added, “I am immensely proud of Dubai’s team across both the government and private sectors, and deeply optimistic about a brighter future led by young leaders who will take the helm for the next wave of transformation. Dubai’s story is only just beginning. Its ambitions know no limits, and the best is yet to come.”

Agenda and Majlis Sessions

The forum’s programme featured panel discussions, workshops and keynote addresses from a distinguished line‑up of global experts in management and leadership, aimed at sharing international best practices, sharpening foresight and strengthening decision‑making. It also highlighted several strategic leadership Majlis meetings designed to shape the next phase of development. These comprised the Future Economy Majlis, which examined growth and innovation trends; the Future Cities Leadership Majlis, which reviewed best practices in urban management and smart‑infrastructure development; and the New Global Narrative Majlis, which sought to reinforce Dubai’s position across the economy, media, knowledge and humanitarian sectors. Through these sessions participants explored ways to put into practice the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice‑President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, via high‑impact, landmark initiatives that accelerate projects and support his vision of consolidating Dubai as a global hub for excellence and innovation while preserving its leadership in all fields. The forum also served as a venue for announcing a number of strategic projects and initiatives.

Sector Dialogues and Outcomes

The event provided dedicated leadership dialogue spaces for exchanging ideas and building strategic links between Dubai’s government and private sectors in three key areas: real estate, tourism and finance. In the real estate dialogue, participants discussed the sector’s future, stressing continuous integration among regulators, developers and investors. They examined challenges to sustainable growth, the importance of partnership in creating more competitive and attractive cities, strategies to keep pace with industry shifts, emerging opportunities and the need for a shared vision to guide the next expansion phase. The tourism dialogue reviewed the major challenges and opportunities shaping tourism’s future, emphasising joint action to maintain Dubai’s status as one of the world’s premier destinations. Discussions covered efforts to strengthen Dubai’s leading tourism position, adapt to regional developments, seize emerging opportunities, and outlined the government’s vision for enhancing the tourist experience over the coming decade, together with the transformations required to boost sector resilience and competitiveness. The finance dialogue addressed the rapid changes that demand closer cooperation between regulators and financial institutions, the role of bold policies in encouraging innovation and reinforcing Dubai’s appeal as a global financial and investment hub, the drivers of Dubai’s international competitiveness over the next ten years and the pathways to shift the city from a regional financial platform to a more influential global hub. It also highlighted the enhancements needed to attract capital and achieve the right balance between traditional financial expertise and future digital skills.

Agreements and Forum Purpose

On the sidelines of the forum, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) signed memoranda of understanding with several leading international universities to launch new leadership research initiatives and produce specialised studies that document Dubai’s transformation under Sheikh Mohammed’s leadership and articulate his leadership and development philosophy. The Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum served as a strategic platform to showcase Dubai’s key future projects and landmark initiatives, which chart the roadmap for comprehensive development, raise quality of life, broaden opportunities and drive a sustainable economy. The forum aims to place leaders from across Dubai’s entities and sectors at the centre of global change, promote collective strategic thinking in decision‑making and present innovative leadership models.
