Al Ain rolls out Dh2 per hour paid parking in three city sectors from October 26
Scope of the scheme
Q Mobility announced that charges apply to parking spots in Al Mutarad and the city centre, under the regulatory oversight of the Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), which is part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport. The three sectors also include designated parking for People of Determination, catering to the needs of different groups.
Reasons and goals
The move comes amid rising demand for public parking in Al Ain, driven by population growth and an expansion of commercial and service activities. Authorities aim to better regulate parking use, improve traffic flow, and make it easier for residents, visitors and employees to reach businesses, facilities and services across the city.
Payment and rules
The hourly fee for standard parking spaces under the plan is set at Dh2. Motorists can pay through the Darb and TAMM applications. Q Mobility called on drivers to follow parking signs and regulations, use spaces only for their intended purpose, and pay the required fees according to the rules.
