Etihad Airways announces flight suspensions
Etihad Airways has announced that it is suspending all flights between Abu Dhabi and the Saudi cities of Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah, with the cancellations set to last until Saturday, October 24. The carrier said the situation remains fluid and that further adjustments to the schedule could occur.
Routes and flight numbers affected
The airline made the statement on its official website, confirming that every service linking Abu Dhabi with Dammam and Abu Dhabi with Riyadh has been halted until the stated date. It also noted that the same suspension applies to the Abu Dhabi‑Jeddah corridor.
Passenger advice and airline response
For the Jeddah route, Etihad specified that the affected flights are EY601 and EY603 departing Abu Dhabi for Jeddah, and the return services EY602 and EY604 from Jeddah to Abu Dhabi. All of these are cancelled through October 24. Etihad urged travellers to verify the latest status of their bookings on the airline’s website, reiterating that the situation could change. The carrier apologised for any inconvenience caused and said its teams are working to help affected passengers rearrange their travel plans.
